Cake
For our cake I want to surprise Jared with a cake of all his favorite things, which are our dog Gizmo, horse racing/sports betting and the Twins. It will also have his college logo in the middle of the baseball. He played baseball throughout high school and college.
We are going with Las Vegas Custom Cakes as seen on TLC's Fabulous Cakes. Yamilet has been great to work with, I love her sketch, the cake was very moist and the price is reasonable for Vegas standards. Out of the 6 bakeries I consulted with, LV Custom was the second cheapest, yet my favorite of all of them. The flavors we are going with is a spice cake with a cream cheese mousse filling and white buttercream below the fondant and then a chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling and chocolate buttercream under the fondant. www.lasvegascustomcakes.com Here's her sketch!

Gizmo, our dog, will be wearing a MN Twins jersey, with my new last name on it and Joe Mauer's number who is his favorite player (mine as well).
This is the logo from the website he uses for his sports bets. He will love this, as will his friends.
The third tier will be the horse racing tier. The Kentucky Derby has The Run for the Roses, so the she placed some roses in between the tiers. The cover of where Gizmo is "popping" out of the cake will have the words "Not Just Any Gizmo". To explain, at our local horsetrack, Canterbury Park, there was a horse racing one day named that, so it's kind of our inside thing.

Letters for cake table
The "&" sign is a theme throughout our paper items, and I found these letters for our cake table and thought it was perfect.
Cake Pops
We will also have Cake Pops at the Reception, half Red Velvet and half Confetti Cake. They will be decorated in our colors. Can't wait for these! Viva Las Cake Pops are doing them, they offer free delivery and stand.
Welcome Bags
These are our Welcome Bags. My mom hand made the flowers, I love em! The wording on the tag has been changed a little. Our favors, itinerary, water bottles, thank you note, etc. will be in the bags and hand delivered to each guest.
First favor is either going to be a giant oatmeal and chocolate chip cooked from Great Harvest Bread company www.greatharvestlv.com. Or we may do 3 cookies from Subway as they are fantastic and gives guests more variety. The cookies will be in a cellophane bag, tied with a ribbon and favor tag.
2nd favor is a pretzel dipped in caramel and chocolate and wrapped in cellophane, tied with a ribbon with a tag saying "Jared and Sara tied the knot". They are from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for about $1.25 a piece, they are in the Orleans Hotel.
We are big music people, so we are going make a CD of our favorite songs that we think our guests will enjoy as a lot of them like the same music.. The CD will include music from Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson, The Beatles and so on.
Before we decided to have our wedding in Vegas instead of at home, we were going to have caramel apples for our favors. I was obsessed with them, we may still give them to the wedding party or something, or just my MOH as she is now on the cararmel apple bandwagon.
